About Us

Welcome to St Mark's CE Primary School

At St. Mark’s we are very proud of our staff’s commitment and dedication to ensure that all of the children within our care receive a high quality education. We believe in the concept of lifelong learning and the idea that both adults and children learn new things every day. Learning should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone; it should be fun.

We conduct all our teaching in an atmosphere of trust and respect for all, in line with our distinctive Christian tradition.

We pride ourselves on being a family school.

We recognise that every child is unique and our skilled staff ensure that every child receives a rich learning experience that ensures they reach their full potential.

Our children are at the heart of everything that we do. We strive to nurture their natural curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm for learning-and vow to hold on to those qualities all the way up to Year 6, through our engaging curriculum.

Our HERO values underpin our Christian ethos and were selected to reflect it.

We see the Dove as the Bible sign of peace and hope, with loving hands that nurture our children, like Jesus's love for us all. During their time with us, we want our children to grow their energy and resilience to take risks with their learning, with self belief to let their light shine throughout their lives.

Our motto has three fundamental elements:

1. The Light of the World - Jesus

2. The light of our individual talents.

3. The light of learning

We welcome visits to our school, so you can see us in action! Please contact the school office to arrange.

I look forward to welcoming you to St Mark's.
